PHOTO CONTEST

A fresh face on the year, why not one for our SCBA website? If you're passionate about ballooning and a bit of a shutterbug, then help us to honor ballooning by sharing your experiences with our club members and fans around the world.

DEADLINE for entries: April 5, 2010.

Winners

Winning is always more than the prizes itself, but we like to do what we can to honor our own.

The Grand Prize winner, gets their image placed on the home page of the SCBA website, a certificate of appreciation, and a prize!

Second and Third Prize winners also get recognized with special certificates and a prizes!

All entries will be placed in online albums for the club to see.

How To Enter

Step 1: Read our contest rules.

1. Copyright rule: By entering photos in this contest, you are attesting that the images that you are submitting are yours and taken by you. You are granting permission for the SCBA to use these images for SCBA activities (Newsletter and website. Not for profit or sale). The SCBA will not take reponsibiilty for any copyright infringements, but will hold entrants responsible.

2. Enter your shots in the categories that follow in Step 2. Your pictures should be designed to fit the HORIZONTAL format of the home page of the SCBA website. Also refer to the image above.

3. Judging and prizes. Judges are yet to be determined, and will be requested/determined by the contest host (DNW Associates - SCBA website management). Prize value will be nominal and prizes are yet to be detemined.

4. DEADLINE for entries: April 5, 2010.

5. New: Advertisements for businesses will not be used.

Step 2: Go through your existing photos or take a new one. We are looking for photos in these categories:

Best Scenic Hot-Air Balloon Shot
Do you have the most beautiful, scenic, balloon shot ever? Enter your photos in this category.

Best Humorous Shot
We're human, we can't help it. sometimes funny just happens. Enter your funny hot-air balloon experience shots in this category.

Best Tailgate Shot
Where would we be without our SCBA tailgates? We're looking for shots that depict the SCBA tailgate shots best (football or other tailgate events do not count!). Good times, good food, good people, and newbies!

Best Hot-Air Balloonist Face Shot
We all have our moments! So whether it's a pilot, a crew member, a passenger for the day, or someone watching balloons - we want to see people's faces. We're looking to see how ballooning affects the spirits of those who experience it.

Step 3: Send in your photo entries. Send each entry in an email (one photo entry per email) to:
SCBA-Photo-Contest@socalballoons.org.

INCLUDE:

• Photographer's name
• Photographer's contact information (email and phone number)
• And the category that the photo is to be entered into.
